Common questions
What's the difference between general liability and a BOP?
General liability covers injuries and damage your business causes to other people or their property. A business owner's policy (BOP) usually bundles general liability with coverage for your own building, equipment, and inventory, often for less than buying them separately.
A customer is asking for a certificate of insurance. Can you send one?
Yes. A certificate of insurance (COI) shows a general contractor, landlord, or client that you're covered. Some jobs also ask to be named as an "additional insured." Call or email us with who needs it and we'll take care of it.
Does my personal auto policy cover my work truck?
Often not. Personal auto policies can exclude or limit business use, especially for vehicles titled to a business, hauling for pay, or employees driving. If you use a vehicle for work, call us so we can check.
Do I have to carry workers' comp in Texas?
Texas is the only state where most private employers can choose not to carry workers' comp. But choosing not to has real downsides, including losing certain legal protections if an employee is hurt, and many contracts require it anyway. We can walk you through the tradeoffs.
